Our house is imploding. All of those niggling little repairs that normally are put off until later have come to rear their ugly heads. The front door won't shut properly. The alarm system lost power. And most annoyingly, after three trips to Best Buy, Norton still won't work properly on Marnie's laptop (Our tech's advice? Get a different anti-virus program. Thanks genius). I'm hoping during the course of our Lancaster visit this weekend, everything will magically repair itself.
I'm running out of things to pack. While you would assume this is a good thing, it actually results in me nervously moving objects around the house needlessly and re-examining my previous packing efforts. Not unreasonably, this is beginning to irritate the wife. Still I doggedly carry on, knowing that D-day swiftly approaches. And on that day, after the last bag has been checked, I will settle into a zen-Buddha like calm. At least until we arrive in Jozi and I remember that we don't yet have a place to live or a means of transportation. Oh crap.
When is D-day?
ReplyDeleteThere is a nice virus protection program offered free on the web, I love it. It's called Malware Bytes Anti-malware. Easy download, and very easy to use. Google it, you'll find it.
We just got back from a "cabin" we rented in the woods of Loudenville for a short weekend getaway. It was totally just a double-wide traier with wood siding made to look like a cabin! LOL!! But we spent the entire time in the hot tub on the back porch. Now my skin is so dry and itchy! But relaxation and fun was had, and now it's back to the drudgery that is my life.
Hope you guys find relief and calm soon. Just go with the flow, and let life happen. You'll do great!
